Hello there! I’m Eric Metzler. I wear multiple hats as a coach at CrossFit Bloomington.
- If you sign up for a No Sweat Introduction with me, I will welcome you, show you our facility, listen to your dreams and goals, and introduce you to both the CrossFit Method and the special sauce that makes CrossFit Bloomington a radically inclusive fitness community.
- If you decide to begin your CrossFit journey with us, I will be one of the instructors teaching you the foundational movements of CrossFit in our Beginners Course.
- If you become a member, I will be one of the coaches leading you and others in our Hour-long Group Exercise Classes.
- If you sign up for our Nutrition Course or for Individual Nutrition Coaching, you will meet with me to learn how to optimize your nutritional intake for performance, health, and well-being.
I have over 11 years’ experience as a CrossFit athlete, which began a few months before I turned 50. Before then, I worked out consistently but without joy, passion, or commitment. But once I gave CrossFit a try, I never looked back. The variety, the challenge, the community, and the results have kept me an engaged and avid member and coach in our community. Now, I can honestly say that my hour working out with friends is the best part of my day.
In addition to seeking virtuosity (doing the common uncommonly well) as an athlete, I passionately pursue growth and development as a coach so I can offer you the best possible fitness experience.
